Day 3: March 13, 2024

Today was our third day on the NOLA trip.  We began our day with breakfast and then, with everyone's help, loaded picnic tables and benches, brought them to a community garden, and then put them together.  We followed that with sanding and staining them.  Later into the evening we went bowling which was an extremely enjoyable time, everyone was cheering each other on and it was ultimately a great bonding experience.

This evening we reflected on how we see ourselves as leaders. We decided that although there are different forms of leadership, they all stem from helping people / asking for help, making others feel comfortable, making good decisions, organization skills, organizing / managing a team, patience, and making sure everyone feels seen and heard.  We hope to develop more of these skills while here and hope to build friendships and bonds with those we would not normally talk to.  We also wish to provide encouragement and continue cheering people on throughout the day.
