Community & Belonging
As an educational and spiritual community, Holy Child is committed to cultivating an environment that embraces and supports individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. We actively promote discussions about diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and belonging, as we believe this creates a respectful and intellectually rich environment.
We respect and celebrate the individuality of each person, and we strive to create a culture of kindness, understanding, and empathy. Our students learn the value of embracing diverse perspectives and differences as strengths, whether in the classroom, on the playing field, or in everyday interactions.
As a school, we embrace differences in age, ethnicity, gender, learning style, physical ability, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic class. We aim to create a community that reflects diversity across the student body, faculty, and administration.
At Holy Child, we prioritize creating a sense of belonging for students through events, speaker series, and student-led initiatives. We have student- and faculty-led affinity spaces at the middle school and high school levels. These groups work within the school and the wider community to raise awareness and promote cultural exchange, dialogue, and social justice, along with partnerships with the Parents Association.
We expect everyone at Holy Child to contribute to building a community that is founded on trust with a deep respect for the uniqueness and dignity of each person.
