Clubs

In addition to athletic teams and performing arts opportunities, Holy Child offers a variety of clubs and activities to meet the needs and interests of the student body. Clubs meet during the school day. This gives students a chance to get involved, meet students in different grades, and spend time with those who share a common interest.

  • Amnesty International

In this club, students learn about global social justice issues and will discuss how to implement justice actions from our school and community.

  • Divas of Diversity

This club exposes students to different cultures through music, dance, and art. Each week will have a theme—like a different country. Members will also use the time to talk about issues regarding diversity and what we can do to enact change.

  • Criminology

Learn about different fields and skills in criminology by reviewing old cases. Then discuss and analyze an entire "case" from start to finish.

  • The Yokes

Students choose songs they like to sing and practice them karaoke style! This club meets outdoors due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Once a month, student talents are showcased through a recorded performance.

  • Childhood Cancer Support

Students in this club serve as virtual pals for cancer patients at Westchester Medical Center through Zoom. This connection gives patients an opportunity to socialize, especially during times when visitors are restricted.

  • The Cornelian Newspaper

Collaborate to create Holy Child’s all-school student newspaper. Editors and student members will participate in writing articles, taking photographs, and designing the layout.

  • ARC - Allies Rebuilding Connections

This group provides a safe space for students to share and discuss issues in their lives and to build skills around listening and serving as an ally.

  • Art Club & DIY

This club provides a space where students can feel comfortable experimenting with new art styles. Modern trends along with traditional techniques will be explored along with a variety of projects—including DIY!

  • The Scrubs Club + Red Cross

Learn simple life-saving first aid procedures, such as CPR, Heimlich, wound care, and emergency response. Students will also learn to help others during a disaster, involving community service to support organizations that help families in need.

  •  News Broadcast

Students will come together to film a news show that connects Holy Child with the outside world. The broadcast would inform students about current events in the news as well as events at Holy Child. Members conduct interviews with faculty or other experts, and include segments on sports, pop culture, and advice for students.

  • Mask Making & Crafting for Charity

In this club, students make and decorate face masks to be donated to essential workers and other organizations. Students can participate at school or from home, prepping or decorating the masks.

  • Community Partners Service Club

Prioritizing Holy Child’s partner organizations such as Midnight Run, The Carver Center, and Marian Woods, this club explores ways to provide support with needed resources and demonstrates care for the people these institutions serve.

  • STEAMERS*

A combination of Girls Who Code Club, Vex Robotics, engineering, and architecture. Members are introduced to the work of women in STEAM by watching videos, taking part in a vex robotics team and participating in architecture and engineering projects. Projects include building bridges, computer programming, making and playing E-Sports, and more.

  • The Fuller Center

Monthly partnership with The Fuller Center to participate in a build, whether working on a construction site in Chappaqua or helping out in the reuse store in New Rochelle.

  • Debate Club

Members will learn about debate procedures, forums, and the skills needed to formally debate.

  • Book Club

Members come together after reading a book on a current event to discuss, share and learn from one another.

  • Engineering Club

Students design projects, like labs that use materials found at home or are virtual (like 3D printing). Interactive sessions with Holy Child alumnae who work in the STEAM field!

  • Feeding America

Service opportunities to fundraise for Feeding America. Some fundraisers include a food drive, a charity run, a dress down day, drop-off coin collection, and more.

  • For the Kids

This club hopes to bring smiles and happiness to children in local hospitals, as well as children in other countries. Write birthday cards, cheerful notes and host virtual parties for kids in local hospitals and schools. Fundraising for foundations like The Nik Vuksanaj Children's Foundation, Operation Smile, Canines for Disabled Kids, and My Stuffed Bags Foundation.

  • Make Create & Navigate Performing Arts Club

This club consists of multiple activities that allow middle school girls to participate and dive into the world of acting. Students explore dissecting monologues, writing shows, directing short films, and so much more! The goal is to introduce the world of performing arts to MS girls of all backgrounds.
