Graduation
On June 1, the Holy Child community gathered on campus to celebrate the Class of 2024 at our 114th Commencement Exercises. The ceremony was presided over by Head of School, Colleen Pettus, and Board Chair, Christine Ford. The Commencement speaker was Dr. Courtney Marshall ‘07, Assistant Professor in the Neuroscience Department at Wellesley College. Dr. Marshall received her Bachelor of Science from Davidson College before spending two years conducting research as a postbaccalaureate fellow at the National Institute on Aging. She then earned her PhD from Drexel University's College of Medicine, studying cognitive impairment in Parkinson's disease. She performed her postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania, where she began researching the underlying mechanisms of Alzheimer's disease and mentoring underrepresented minorities through her role as a postdoctoral fellow in the University of Pennsylvania’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Learner Research office.
The Class of 2024 achieved much during their years spent in the Upper School at Holy Child. They have traveled extensively through our Global Studies Program, serving locally, domestically, and around the world. Their talents and contributions inside and outside of the classroom have left a tremendous impression on our school.
